2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of June Craig of Indianola, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on July 7, 2017, alongside her husband, Harold; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, June Craig was born in Georgetown to Rex and | ||||||
6 | Lillie Dale Gray Edmonds on June 15, 1922; she married Harold | ||||||
7 | Craig at her parents' home in Georgetown on October 15, 1948; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, June Craig taught for over 40 years in the | ||||||
10 | Georgetown school system and owned and operated Craig's | ||||||
11 | Antiques; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, June Craig was a member of the Indianola Methodist | ||||||
13 | Church, where she taught Sunday school and had been a youth | ||||||
14 | group leader; she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star | ||||||
15 | and enjoyed mushroom hunting and square dancing; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, June Craig was preceded in death by her brothers, | ||||||
17 | Denzel Edmonds, Joe Edmonds, and Otis D. Edmonds, and her | ||||||
18 | sisters, Virginia Penn and Susan Widman; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, June Craig is survived by her daughters, Janey | ||||||
20 | (Kim) Jolley and Gaile (Bob) Sekerka; her grandson, Kevin |

1 | (Kara) Jolley; her great-grandchildren, Kya and Kaelyn Jolley; | ||||||
2 | and her sister, Beverly Jane Smith; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | June Craig, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | ||||||
6 | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of June Craig as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
