| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William "Bill" Bruce of Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on November 4, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Bill Bruce was born in Lake Bruce, Indiana to | ||||||
| 6 | James and Alma (Edlin) Bruce on June 1, 1935; he served in the | ||||||
| 7 | U.S. Army and married Peggy Brown in Gary, Indiana on January | ||||||
| 8 | 27, 1962; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Bill Bruce was employed by American Family | ||||||
| 10 | Insurance for over 32 years, retiring in 2000; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Bill Bruce was a member of Sacred Heart Church, | ||||||
| 12 | the Scottish Rite, Doric, Grotto, and the High-12 Club; he was | ||||||
| 13 | a recipient of the DeMolay Legion of Honor Award; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Bill Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 15 | two brothers; and a sister; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Bill Bruce is survived by his wife, Peggy; his | ||||||
| 17 | daughter, Linda Bruce; his son, Mike Bruce; and his brother, | ||||||
| 18 | John (Becky) Bruce; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
