| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Margaret Bertha "Peggy" Mansholt of | ||||||
| 4 | Bunker Hill, who passed away on July 26, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was born in Worden on November 3, | ||||||
| 6 | 1927 to Alvin and Emma (nee Pieper) Henke; she married Earl | ||||||
| 7 | Mansholt and together they farmed near Bunker Hill; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt worked for the United States Post | ||||||
| 9 | Office in Bunker Hill for many years; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was an active member of Zion | ||||||
| 11 | Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill; she enjoyed traveling, social | ||||||
| 12 | activities with friends, reading, and spending time with her | ||||||
| 13 | children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 15 | parents; her siblings, Dorothea Henke, Amanda Mansholt, and | ||||||
| 16 | Alfred Henke; and her twin great-granddaughters, Felicity and | ||||||
| 17 | Grace Benolkin; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt is survived by her children, Gerald | ||||||
| 19 | Mansholt (Anita), Craig (Joan) Mansholt, and Barbara Welch | ||||||
| 20 | Mansholt (Michael Welch); she had 7 grandchildren and 5 | ||||||

| 1 | great-grandchildren, including, Paula Mansholt and daughters, | ||||||
| 2 | Heather Moore and Britney Moore, Christa Mansholt-Choy (Manuel | ||||||
| 3 | Choy) and daughters, Sydney and Elliot, Monica Benolkin (Scott) | ||||||
| 4 | and daughter, Claire, Jennifer Martin (Art), Jonathan Mansholt | ||||||
| 5 | (Carrie), Taylor Brien, and Bryce Brien; therefore, be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 8 | Margaret Bertha "Peggy" Mansholt, and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 9 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 10 | her; and be it further
