| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William Edward Tegtmeier of Crystal Lake, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on January 11, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was born on October 23, 1924 in | ||||||
| 6 | Crystal Lake; his parents were Charles and Bertha Tegtmeier; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Shirley Ann Pletz on August 10, 1946 in McHenry; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier proudly served his country as a | ||||||
| 9 | sergeant in the United States Marine Corps' 1st Division, | ||||||
| 10 | receiving a Purple Heart for his service in the South Pacific; | ||||||
| 11 | and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was a member of the Operating | ||||||
| 13 | Engineers Local 150 union; he worked for Peter Baker and Sons | ||||||
| 14 | for 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 16 | wife of 66 years, Shirley; his daughter, Georgia Lee; his | ||||||
| 17 | parents; his sister, Alice Ragona; and his brother, Fred | ||||||
| 18 | Tegtmeier; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier is survived by his children, | ||||||
| 20 | Ginger Sebastian, William (Cindy) Tegtmeier, Paula (Bruce | ||||||

| 1 | Cavoti) Tegtmeier, and Marcy Ann Tegtmeier; his grandchildren, | ||||||
| 2 | John William (Heather) Veugeler, Megan Ann Veugeler, Kim | ||||||
| 3 | Tegtmeier, Gabe Romero, and Caleb, Cora, and Anna Schwan; and | ||||||
| 4 | his great-grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Sierra, and Summer | ||||||
