| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Harley D. Rutledge of Tolono, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on July 2, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Harley Rutledge was born in Louisville, Kentucky | ||||||
| 6 | to Carolyn and Daniel DePalma on November 24, 1971; he | ||||||
| 7 | graduated from Western Illinois University and married Amanda | ||||||
| 8 | Hiller in Champaign in 1998; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Harley Rutledge was a lieutenant for the Urbana | ||||||
| 10 | Police Department, where he worked for over 19 years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Harley Rutledge was a devoted father and enjoyed | ||||||
| 12 | attending his children's baseball, basketball, and softball | ||||||
| 13 | games; he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and | ||||||
| 14 | Penguins; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Harley Rutledge is survived by his wife, Amanda; | ||||||
| 16 | his daughter, Hannah, and her son, Dillon; his parents; his | ||||||
| 17 | sisters, Candace Kelly, Katy DePalma, Elizabeth Spires, and | ||||||
| 18 | Angel Edwards; his brother, Jay Gordy; his brothers-in-law and | ||||||
| 19 | sisters-in-law, Kevin Hiller, Laura Hiller, Tim Kelly, Diana | ||||||
| 20 | Gordy, Kevin Spires, and Chris Edwards; and many nieces and | ||||||
| 21 | nephews; therefore, be it

| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Harley D. Rutledge, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
