| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Trainette Renee' "Trina" Graham | ||||||
| 4 | Davis, who passed away on April 9, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Trainette Davis was born to Atkins "AC" Clayton | ||||||
| 6 | and Lutishia Graham in Chicago on April 21, 1952, the third of | ||||||
| 7 | six siblings; she committed to her faith at an early age, and | ||||||
| 8 | she was a member of Greater Harvest Baptist Church, where she | ||||||
| 9 | also sang in the choir; she graduated from Jean Baptiste Point | ||||||
| 10 | DuSable High School in 1971; she attended Northeastern | ||||||
| 11 | Teacher's College, and she received a degree in early | ||||||
| 12 | childhood development from Kennedy King College; she married | ||||||
| 13 | Robert Davis; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Trainette Davis worked in the field of childcare | ||||||
| 15 | for over 30 years, and she greatly enjoyed working with | ||||||
| 16 | children; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Trainette Davis loved baking and crafting, and | ||||||
| 18 | she especially loved spending time with her children and | ||||||
| 19 | grandchildren; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Trainette David was loving and kind to everyone | ||||||
| 21 | she met; she was a good listener who was always easy to talk | ||||||

| 2 | WHEREAS, Trainette Davis was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 3 | parents and her siblings, Earline Lee and Edward Salter; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Trainette Davis is survived by her husband of | ||||||
| 5 | over 34 years, Robert; her children, Lennard McFadden, Jamil | ||||||
| 6 | (Karon) McFadden, and Tanita Robin Davis; eight grandchildren; | ||||||
| 7 | her siblings, Warrick (Darrell) Graham, Brenda (Tino) Walker | ||||||
| 8 | and Tawanda Clayton; her nieces and nephews; her aunt, Eva; | ||||||
| 9 | and a host of cousins and friends; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 12 | Trainette Renee' "Trina" Graham Davis and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 13 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 14 | her; and be it further | ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to the family of Trainette Davis as an expression of | ||||||
| 17 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
