2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kimberly A. "Kim" Hopper of Raymond, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 11, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper was born in Sullivan, Indiana to | ||||||
6 | Gregory Carl and Mary "Betty" Elizabeth Mills Boyd on August | ||||||
7 | 31, 1975; she graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a | ||||||
8 | bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in English and a | ||||||
9 | teacher's certification; she married Aaron W. Hopper in | ||||||
10 | Westfield on June 8, 1996; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper worked as an English and psychology | ||||||
12 | teacher and librarian at South Central School; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper took on the role of teacher and filled | ||||||
14 | leadership roles at Pleasant Hill Christian Church near | ||||||
15 | Raymond; she was the Vacation Bible School director and the | ||||||
16 | youth director at church camp; she was the lifeguard at the | ||||||
17 | Salvation Army Youth Camp and director for the Panhandle PTO | ||||||
18 | Scholastic Book Fair; she helped with youth sporting events | ||||||
19 | throughout the year and served as secretary for six years on | ||||||
20 | the Doyle Public Library Board; and

21 | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper was preceded in death by her father, |

2 | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper is survived by her husband, Aaron; her | ||||||
3 | children, Emily Grace, Evan Wesley, and Eden Faith; her mother, | ||||||
4 | Betty (Richard) Hippler; her siblings, Cindi (Jay) Lewis, Amy | ||||||
5 | Mullen, Sarah (Jeremy) Tomes, Robert (Jenni) Boyd, John | ||||||
6 | (Amanda) Boyd, and Brian (Missie) Duvall; her father-in-law and | ||||||
7 | mother-in-law, Jim and Marie Hopper; her brother-in-law, | ||||||
8 | Jeremy (Jane) Hopper; her sister-in-law, Rebekah (Sean) | ||||||
9 | Lybarger; her grandmother-in-law, Fairy Alice Mills; and 15 | ||||||
10 | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
13 | Kimberly A. "Kim" Hopper and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
14 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
