SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Kathaleen "Dolly" Sarnwick of McHenry,
who passed away on July 11, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Kathaleen Sarnwick was born on July 7, 1920 in
Chicago; her parents were John and Helena (nee Bulman) Hayden;
she married Henry Sarnwick on October 30, 1948 at Our Lady of
Grace Church in Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Kathaleen Sarnwick volunteered and worked at
schools and churches and was dedicated to raising her children;
she attracted people wherever she went with her quick wit,
intelligence, and kindness; she also loved children and animals
and they were drawn to her; and
WHEREAS, Kathaleen Sarnwick was preceded in death by her
husband, Henry; her parents; a sister, Marie; and 2 brothers,
Jim and John; and
WHEREAS, Kathaleen Sarnwick is survived by 4 children,
Christine, Kevin (Marilyn), Richard (Gail), and Karen (Steve);
her grandchildren, Rick (Anita), Traci, Kathaleen (Brett),
Steve (Lauren), Debra, Cheryl, Brendt, and Paul; her
great-grandchildren, Joshua, Charlotte, Dominic, Catherine,

Emma, Meg, Jack, Luke, Seth, Lily, Leland, Logan, Caleb, and
Grayson; and her sister-in-law, June, and her family;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Kathaleen "Dolly"
Sarnwick; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Kathaleen Sarnwick as an expression
of our sympathy.
