SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Paula Ballin, of Highland Park, who
passed away on July 17, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Paula Ballin loved to travel and was the owner of
Far Horizons, Inc., a travel agency; and
WHEREAS, Paula Ballin was the beloved wife of Donald; the
loving mother of Michelle (Daniel) Schmidt, Tracy Ballin, and
Vicki (Howard) Patner; adored grammy of Scott Caldwell, Joseph
(Holly Hasper), and Andrew (Mallory) Schmidt, and Tyler Patner;
proud great-grandmother of Jasper and Dashiel; devoted
daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Druth; cherished
sister of Deena (late Martin) Pink; dear sister-in-law of
Marjorie (late Robert) Burke; and a treasured aunt and friend
to many; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Paula Ballin, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Paula Ballin as an expression of our
