2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dorothy L. Taylor of Peoria, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 1, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Taylor was born in Luxora, Arkansas to | ||||||
6 | Robert and Ilar (Jenkins) Bonds on August 18, 1950; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Taylor worked in code enforcement for the | ||||||
8 | City of Peoria for over 40 years before retiring in 2012; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Taylor was a member of St. Paul Baptist | ||||||
10 | Church in Peoria, where she sang and ministered with Women of | ||||||
11 | Courage; along with her love of singing, she enjoyed dancing | ||||||
12 | and spending time with her family and friends, especially her | ||||||
13 | children and grandchildren; and

14 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Taylor was preceded in death by her | ||||||
15 | father; her son, Ernest Taylor Jr.; and her brothers, Edward | ||||||
16 | Dean Bonds and Willie Bonds Jr.; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Taylor is survived by her mother, Ilar | ||||||
18 | Bonds; her daughters, Ebonie Kelly and Yolonda Taylor; 14 | ||||||
19 | brothers and sisters; six grandchildren; 16 | ||||||
20 | great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Dorothy L. Taylor and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
6 | further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Dorothy Taylor as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
