2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Donald Andries, who passed away on July | ||||||
4 | 8, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Donald Andries was born in Chicago and grew up in | ||||||
6 | Park Ridge; he graduated from St. George High School in | ||||||
7 | Evanston and received a bachelor's degree from the Marquette | ||||||
8 | University College of Journalism in Milwaukee, with additional | ||||||
9 | studies at Northeastern University in Chicago; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Donald Andries worked for several years on trade | ||||||
11 | magazines and community newspapers, including a period as | ||||||
12 | sports editor of the Deerfield Review; in 1973, he opened his | ||||||
13 | own public relations agency, serving several clients in the | ||||||
14 | educational, not-for-profit, hospitality, and retail fields; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, Donald Andries was the beloved husband of Dorothy | ||||||
17 | Delacoma Andries; the dear father of Daniel (Anne Northrup), | ||||||
18 | the late Donald Joseph (Mary), David (Paula), and Darrill | ||||||
19 | (Cheryl Mollicone); the grandfather of 10 grandchildren; the | ||||||
20 | son of Gabriel and Helen Andries; and the brother of Gabrielle | ||||||
21 | Andries and the late Denise Langan; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
3 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald Andries; and be | ||||||
4 | it further

5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Donald Andries as an expression of | ||||||
7 | our sympathy.
