2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Bernice Lucille "Bonnie" Farkas of | ||||||
4 | Lexington, who passed away on June 29, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin | ||||||
6 | on September 22, 1942 to John and Anita Matthewson Strike; she | ||||||
7 | married Mervin Farkas on November 17, 1962; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas and her husband retired in 2006 and | ||||||
9 | bought a recreational vehicle, spending winters at Breeze Lake | ||||||
10 | Campground in Brownsville, Texas; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas was preceded in death by her sister, | ||||||
12 | Barbara; her brother, Clarence; and her parents; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Bonnie Farkas is survived by her husband of 53 | ||||||
14 | years, Mervin; her children, Joseph (Betsey) Farkas and Rebecca | ||||||
15 | (Scott) Hartema; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; | ||||||
16 | her great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews, including | ||||||
17 | Diane, Doreen, and Cynthia; and countless children whose lives | ||||||
18 | she touched through foster care and babysitting; therefore, be | ||||||
19 | it
