| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Julia Louise Yarbrough, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on December 28, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Julia Yarbrough was born on September 22, 1953; | ||||||
| 6 | her parents were Rayford Maye and Louise Johnson; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Julia Yarbrough confessed her belief in Christ at | ||||||
| 8 | an early age and joined Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Coatopa, | ||||||
| 9 | Alabama; after leaving Alabama, she met Rayfield Yarbrough Sr. | ||||||
| 10 | in the early 1970s; she later joined a loving fellowship with | ||||||
| 11 | the Gideon Missionary Baptist Church in Waukegan for 43 years, | ||||||
| 12 | where she served and was a faithful and loyal member of the | ||||||
| 13 | Christian Education Ministry, the First Aide Ministry, the | ||||||
| 14 | Youth Ministry, and the Deaconess Board; she and her husband | ||||||
| 15 | later moved to Florence, Alabama, where she served as a mother | ||||||
| 16 | at Ekklesia Ministries; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Julia Yarbrough worked for Abbott Laboratory for | ||||||
| 18 | 32 years until her retirement in 2005; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Julia Yarbrough was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 20 | father; her grandmother, Addie B. Harris; her aunts, Katie Mae | ||||||
| 21 | Moore and Renissa Miller; her uncle, William Miller; her | ||||||

| 1 | grandparents, Johnnie Miller, Sr. and Katie Miller; her | ||||||
| 2 | sister-in-law, Rosie Lee Yarbrough; her nephew, Michael | ||||||
| 3 | Spears; and her sister, Ruthie Maye; and

| 4 | WHEREAS, Julia Yarbrough is survived by her husband of 42 | ||||||
| 5 | years, Rayfield Yarbrough, Sr.; her son, Rev. Rayfield | ||||||
| 6 | Yarbrough, Jr. (Qiana); her daughters, Porsha Edwards | ||||||
| 7 | (Michael) and Candra Yarbrough (Kendrid); her mother; her | ||||||
| 8 | brothers, Roy Green, James Finch, Mack Miller, Larry Miller, | ||||||
| 9 | Marshall Johnson, Mark Johnson, Rodney Maye, Keenan Maye, and | ||||||
| 10 | Shay Maye; her sisters, Gail Johnson, Judy Johnson, Lisa | ||||||
