1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of June L. Ware of Jacksonville, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 27, 2010; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, June Ware and her identical twin sister, Jane, | ||||||
6 | were born on July 12, 1938, to James and Katye Callaway Lamar | ||||||
7 | in Seagraves, Texas; their father died when the girls were 3 | ||||||
8 | years old; their mother married Lieutenant Colonel Arthur | ||||||
9 | Armstrong, of the United States Army Air Corps; he assumed the | ||||||
10 | role of a loving father and raised the girls as his own; the | ||||||
11 | family moved from Texas to Tuscola, where the girls graduated | ||||||
12 | from Tuscola High School, and attended Eastern Illinois | ||||||
13 | University; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, She married Jon D. Ware on August 12, 1956, at the | ||||||
15 | Methodist Church of Tuscola; they moved to Jacksonville in | ||||||
16 | 1959; she was a dedicated wife and mother; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, She was an active volunteer and energetic | ||||||
18 | participant in many community service organizations; she | ||||||
19 | served as president of the Illinois Hospital Volunteers | ||||||
20 | Association, Passavant Area Hospital Auxiliary, and also of PEO | ||||||
21 | Chapter CY; she was a member of Household Science, the | ||||||
22 | Jacksonville Country Club, Grace Methodist Church, and an |

1 | active member of the Jacksonville Art Association, having | ||||||
2 | served as co-chairperson of the Beaux Arts Ball; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, She touched countless lives not only through her | ||||||
4 | volunteerism, but also through her philanthropy;
June enjoyed | ||||||
5 | reading, traveling, painting, floral arranging, and attending | ||||||
6 | any events involving her family; she loved spending time with | ||||||
7 | her friends and family, especially her grandson, Jayden, who | ||||||
8 | was the pride and joy of her life; her attention to detail | ||||||
9 | combined with her thoughtfulness made all who knew her feel | ||||||
10 | treasured; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, June Ware was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
12 | her daughter, Melissa Jane; and her daughter-in-law, Mia Ware; | ||||||
13 | and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, June Ware will be remembered for her southern | ||||||
15 | charm and gracious manner, her gentleness of spirit, and kind | ||||||
16 | humor;
June is survived by her husband, Jon; her two sons, Brad | ||||||
17 | (wife, Charlyn) Ware and Todd Ware; her grandson, Jayden Ware, | ||||||
18 | and granddaughter, Kate Fargo; her beloved twin, Jane (husband, | ||||||
19 | Howard) Martin; her niece, Beth (husband, Ernie) Baillon; her | ||||||
20 | nephew, Jeff Ashworth; her great-niece, Madie Baillon, and her | ||||||
21 | great-nephews, Wil and Wade Baillon; therefore, be it

22 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |

1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
2 | her family and friends, the passing of June Ware; and be it | ||||||

5 | presented to the family of June Ware as a symbol of our sincere | ||||||
