| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Mark N. Valade of Joliet, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on November 21, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Mark Valade was born on December 24, 1949 in Blue | ||||||
| 6 | Island to Louis and Gouinevere (nee Davis) Valade; he was a | ||||||
| 7 | graduate of Joliet Catholic High School in 1968; he served with | ||||||
| 8 | the United States Army in Vietnam from December 1968 to | ||||||
| 9 | December 1969 with the First Marine Air Wing Da-Nang and with | ||||||
| 10 | the 5th Marines at An-Hoa; he also served with the 7th Marines | ||||||
| 11 | LZ-Baldy; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Mark Valade worked for Farmers Insurance for over | ||||||
| 13 | 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Mark Valade was a life-member of the National | ||||||
| 15 | Rifle Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Cantigny | ||||||
| 16 | Post #367 in Joliet; he was also a member of the American | ||||||
| 17 | Legion Marine Post #13 in Plainfield and the Marine Corps | ||||||
| 18 | League; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Mark Valade was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 20 | his brother, Tim; and his uncle, Majeur Davis; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Mark Valade is survived by his wife, Marcia; his | ||||||
| 2 | brothers, Kevin (Margie) Valade, Bruce Valade, and Brian | ||||||
| 3 | Valade; his stepdaughter, Jennifer (Joe) Trimble; his stepson, | ||||||
| 4 | Justin (Samantha) Wirth; his grandchildren, Alister, Emily, | ||||||
| 5 | and Cole Trimble; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and | ||||||
| 6 | great-nephews; his best friends, Jim Restaino, Dan Murray, | ||||||
| 7 | George Mushro, Jay Blessent, and Richard Jackson; and his | ||||||
| 8 | canine companions, Star and Velvet; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 11 | Mark N. Valade, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 13 | further
