| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Josephine Comfort of Peoria, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on May 5, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Josephine Comfort was born in Dale, North Dakota; | ||||||
| 6 | she was the daughter of George and Anna (Williams) Abraham; she | ||||||
| 7 | married James D. Comfort on April 14, 1952, in Peoria; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Josephine Comfort and her husband were the former | ||||||
| 9 | owners of Jim's Steak House in Peoria until retiring in 1987; | ||||||
| 10 | and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Josephine Comfort was a former member of St. | ||||||
| 12 | Bernard Catholic Church and the church's Mothers Club; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Josephine Comfort was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 14 | husband; her 4 brothers; and her 4 sisters; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Josephine Comfort is survived by her daughter, | ||||||
| 16 | Mary (Howard) Thomas; her sons, James (Julie) Comfort II, | ||||||
| 17 | Timothy G. Comfort, and Gregory J. Comfort; her grandchildren, | ||||||
| 18 | Jim, Drake, Caitlin, and Dominic Comfort, Deanna Venzon, | ||||||
| 19 | Kristen, and Nick Comfort, and Vice, Elise, and Mary Thomas; | ||||||
| 20 | and her great-grandchildren, Maddie, Reid, and Lydia Venzon; | ||||||

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 4 | her family and friends, the passing of Josephine Comfort; and | ||||||
| 5 | be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Josephine Comfort as an expression | ||||||
