SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Christopher Byrant "Chris" Clinton, who
4passed away on June 7, 2017; and
5 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton was born in Joliet to Dave and
6Nan (Baltz) Clinton on March 5, 1968; he attended the Joliet
7Montessori School and graduated from St. Raymond Elementary
8School and Joliet Catholic High School; he earned a bachelor's
9degree from Drake University; and
10 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton moved to Delray Beach,
11Florida and worked for many years in the banking industry; he
12then began his own business painting houses; and
13 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton was involved with and took
14pride in the work that he did with Kairos, an ecumenical prison
15ministry; he served as the chairman for the OCI (Okeechobee
16Correctional Institute) Advisory Council; and
17 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton was just as happy to be by the
18ocean in Florida as he was to be back in Joliet, close to his
19family and friends; he had a contagious personality, a
20wonderful sense of humor, and many talents, including his
21ability to sing every Neil Diamond song; and

1 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton was preceded by his maternal
2grandparents, Meade and Lydia Baltz; his paternal grandfather,
3Larry Clinton; and his paternal grandmother, Edna (Gene)
4Prange; and
5 WHEREAS, Christopher Clinton is survived by his parents;
6his brother, Jeffrey (Grace) Clinton; his niece, Abigail
7Clinton; his nephew, Samuel Clinton; and many aunts, uncles,
8and cousins; therefore, be it
9 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Christopher Byrant "Chris" Clinton, and extend our sincere
12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13him; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Christopher Clinton as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
