| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Paul E. Gardner of Bartonville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on April 21, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner was born on September 11, 1928, in | ||||||
| 6 | Peoria; his parents were Charles "Al" and Anna M. Gardner; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Nancy Paul on December 21, 1979, in Eureka; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner served his country with pride and | ||||||
| 9 | distinction as a member of the United States Navy at the end of | ||||||
| 10 | World War II; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner was a 42-year journeyman electrician | ||||||
| 12 | that worked out of International Brotherhood of Electrical | ||||||
| 13 | Workers Local 34; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner was a member of St. Anthony Catholic | ||||||
| 15 | Church in Bartonville; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner enjoyed photography, flower | ||||||
| 17 | gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren; he also | ||||||
| 18 | enjoyed the water and was a boater for over 20 years; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | his 4 brothers; and his sister; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner is survived by his wife, Nancy; his | ||||||
| 3 | sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gardner, Gerald Gardner, Daniel | ||||||
| 4 | (Silvana) Gardner, and Benjamin (Tami) Gardner; his daughters, | ||||||
| 5 | Christine (Steven) Simpson and Elizabeth Gardner; his stepson, | ||||||
| 6 | Steven Paul; his stepdaughters, Sherry (Rex) Mustain and Sandra | ||||||
| 7 | (John) Post; his sisters, Sister Lucille Gardner, Mildred | ||||||
| 8 | Bannister, and Frances (Marvin) Ioeger; his 18 grandchildren; | ||||||
| 9 | and his 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 12 | his family and friends, the passing of Paul E. Gardner; and be | ||||||
| 13 | it further

| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to the family of Paul Gardner as an expression of our | ||||||
