SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Nina Louise (Noland) McIntosh of
Granbury, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2010; and
WHEREAS, She was born on December 12, 1951, to Everett and
Betty Noland of Decatur; and
WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Texas Woman's University and
a registered nurse; during her 23 years of public service as a
hospital administrator at Parkland Hospital, she served many
roles and was consistently successful, but was always known
most as a dedicated patient advocate; and
WHEREAS, She recently contributed, through her vision and
direction, to the opening of a new oncology outpatient clinic
at Parkland; and
WHEREAS, She will be remembered as a selfless and humble
servant to others and for her never failing hospitality; and
WHEREAS, Nina McIntosh is survived by her husband, Dan
McIntosh; her daughters, Sarah McIntosh and Shelby McIntosh
Dietz and her husband, Evan; her stepdaughter, Marsha Welsh and
her husband, Steve; her grandchildren, Lacy and Logan Welsh;

and her parents, brothers, and sister; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
her family and friends, the passing of Nina McIntosh; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Nina McIntosh as a symbol of our
sincere sympathy.
