SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Nina Louise (Noland) McIntosh of
4 Granbury, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2010; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on December 12, 1951, to Everett and
6 Betty Noland of Decatur; and
7 WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Texas Woman's University and
8 a registered nurse; during her 23 years of public service as a
9 hospital administrator at Parkland Hospital, she served many
10 roles and was consistently successful, but was always known
11 most as a dedicated patient advocate; and
12 WHEREAS, She recently contributed, through her vision and
13 direction, to the opening of a new oncology outpatient clinic
14 at Parkland; and
15 WHEREAS, She will be remembered as a selfless and humble
16 servant to others and for her never failing hospitality; and
17 WHEREAS, Nina McIntosh is survived by her husband, Dan
18 McIntosh; her daughters, Sarah McIntosh and Shelby McIntosh
19 Dietz and her husband, Evan; her stepdaughter, Marsha Welsh and
20 her husband, Steve; her grandchildren, Lacy and Logan Welsh;

1 and her parents, brothers, and sister; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4 her family and friends, the passing of Nina McIntosh; and be it
5 further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the family of Nina McIntosh as a symbol of our
8 sincere sympathy.
