| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Edward "Ed" Woods of Carbon Cliff, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 26, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Ed Woods was born in Silvis to Carl and Sophie | ||||||
| 6 | (Roszczyk) Woods on December 7, 1936; he served in the United | ||||||
| 7 | States Air Force; he married Lois Prine in Moline on December | ||||||
| 8 | 31, 1963; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Ed Woods owned and operated Woods Garage in East | ||||||
| 10 | Moline and the Barstow Airport; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Ed Woods was a loving husband, father, | ||||||
| 12 | grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather; | ||||||
| 13 | and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Ed Woods was preceded in death by his parents; his | ||||||
| 15 | brother, Jerry; and his sister, Joyce; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Ed Woods is survived by his wife, Lois; his | ||||||
| 17 | children, Brenda (Dwayne) Loete, Debra Killian-Sebelien, Joyce | ||||||
| 18 | Grumadas, Timothy (Yvonne) Woods, Kathleen Grumadas, and | ||||||
| 19 | Dominic Woods; his brother, Dennis (Diane) Woods; his | ||||||
| 20 | sister-in-law, Shirley; ten grandchildren; and many | ||||||

| 1 | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 4 | Edward "Ed" Woods and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
