2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of James "Jim" Feehan of Silvis, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on December 22, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, James Feehan was born in East Moline on December | ||||||
6 | 7, 1934, the child of William and Josephine (Scieszinski) | ||||||
7 | Feehan; he graduated from United Township High School and | ||||||
8 | enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps; he married Nancy Lee Andon | ||||||
9 | at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, James Feehan worked for The East Moline Herald | ||||||
11 | and retired from the John Deere Foundry; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, James Feehan was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears | ||||||
13 | and the Chicago Cubs; he enjoyed playing cards and visiting | ||||||
14 | friends at the Little Brown Jug and the Eagles Club in Carbon | ||||||
15 | Cliff; and

16 | WHEREAS, James Feehan was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
17 | and his siblings, Bill (Dorothy) Feehan, MaryJo (Don) Ziegler, | ||||||
18 | and Patty (John) Hornick; and

19 | WHEREAS, James Feehan is survived by his children, James | ||||||
20 | (Kyle) Feehan, Julie (Larry) Tate, Jana (Tom) Sabel, |
