| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Neil Scott Noland of Blue Mound, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on October 30, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Neil Noland was born on January 3, 1928 in Decatur | ||||||
| 6 | to Charles F. and Ruth I. (nee Scott) Noland; he attended a | ||||||
| 7 | one-room school house north of Blue Mound and was a 1945 | ||||||
| 8 | graduate of Blue Mound High School; he was a member of the | ||||||
| 9 | Future Farmers of America, Rural Youth, and showed cattle in | ||||||
| 10 | 4-H; he attended the University of Illinois, where he was a | ||||||
| 11 | member of the FarmHouse fraternity; he married Erma Mae Moma on | ||||||
| 12 | March 3, 1950; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Neil Noland served on the Stonington Cooperative | ||||||
| 14 | Grain Board of Directors for 11 years and the Blue Mound School | ||||||
| 15 | Board; he was on the Advisory Committees of Farm Credit | ||||||
| 16 | Services and the Macon County Ag Extension Council; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Neil Noland was a life-long member of First | ||||||
| 18 | Christian Church of Blue Mound (Disciples of Christ), where he | ||||||
| 19 | served as Deacon, Chairman of the Board, and in various other | ||||||
| 20 | ministries; he was a 60-year member of Blue Mound Masonic Lodge | ||||||
| 21 | #682 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and served as Past Patron | ||||||
| 22 | with the Blue Mound Order of the Eastern Star #327; he was a | ||||||

| 1 | licensed pilot for 69 years and was a member of the Aircraft | ||||||
| 2 | Owners and Pilots Association; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Neil Noland was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 4 | his son, David F. Noland; and several brothers-in law and | ||||||
| 5 | sisters-in law; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Neil Noland is survived by his wife, Erma Mae; his | ||||||
| 7 | daughter, Dianne (Dave) Noland Negangard; his sons, Duane | ||||||
| 8 | (Tina) Noland and Dennis (Dani) Noland; his grandchildren, | ||||||
| 9 | Grant (Logan) Noland, Blake (Kristin) Noland, and Drew | ||||||
| 10 | Negangard; and his great-grandchildren, Hudson Neil Noland and | ||||||
| 11 | Elizabeth Maye Noland; therefore, be it

| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 14 | Neil Scott Noland, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 15 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 16 | further
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to the family of Neil Noland as an expression of our | ||||||
| 19 | deepest sympathy.
