2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Edward J. Hughes of Crystal Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 27, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edward Hughes was born on May 20, 1933 in Chicago; | ||||||
6 | his parents were John Vincent and Margaret (Quinn) Hughes; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Edward Hughes worked as an operating engineer with | ||||||
8 | International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for 55 | ||||||
9 | years; he also served as a Nunda Township Road Commissioner and | ||||||
10 | a Precinct Committeeman; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Edward Hughes was preceded in death by his | ||||||
12 | brother, John "Jack" Hughes, and his sisters, Marilyn Braun and | ||||||
13 | Betty Rose; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Edward Hughes is survived by his children, Denise | ||||||
15 | Marie Hughes, Timothy Patrick (Ann) Hughes, Thomas Michael | ||||||
16 | (Julie) Hughes, Edward James Hughes II, and Kimberly Francis | ||||||
17 | (Robert) Goetz; his grandchildren, Kristy Perera, Dana Baker, | ||||||
18 | John Earhart, Christopher Hughes, Tiffany Davis, Bridget and | ||||||
19 | Annie Hughes, Jennifer, Jeanna, and Jill Hughes, Zachary, | ||||||
20 | Rachel, Aubrie, and Kaleb Hughes, Jessica Ribandt, and Brandon | ||||||
21 | and Bryan Goetz; his great-grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, Micky, |

5 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward J. Hughes; and | ||||||
