| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John Martin Prpich of Wildwood, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 5, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John Prpich was born in DeKalb on November 11, | ||||||
| 6 | 1936 to Mary and Frank Prpich; he attended Northern Illinois | ||||||
| 7 | University; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, John Prpich had a 42-year insurance sales career | ||||||
| 9 | with American Family Insurance; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, John Prpich and his wife, Ruth, were proud | ||||||
| 11 | lifetime members of American Croatian Waukegan Tamburitzans; | ||||||
| 12 | he served as Vice-President and Building Director for many | ||||||
| 13 | years; he enjoyed being in the adult orchestra, playing the | ||||||
| 14 | upright bass; his other pride was starting the fish fry that | ||||||
| 15 | helped raise funds for younger members to travel and perform in | ||||||
| 16 | the United States, Canada, and Croatia; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, John Prpich was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
| 18 | and his 2 brothers, George and Mike Prpich; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, John Prpich is survived by his wife of 49 years, | ||||||
| 20 | Ruth; his children, Catherine (Dr. Jordan Goodman), Edward | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | (Laurie), and James (Christina) Prpich; his grandchildren, Zak | ||||||
| 2 | and Karissa; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 5 | John Martin Prpich, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 7 | further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to the family of John Prpich as an expression of our | ||||||
| 10 | deepest sympathy.
