SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Samuel Carl Nasello, who passed away on
4November 2, 2013; and
5 WHEREAS, Samuel Nasello was born on May 14, 1940 in Alton;
6his parents were Tony and Rita (nee Finn) Nasello; he married
7Millie A. Broadway on May 20, 1961 in Alton; and
8 WHEREAS, Samuel Nasello was employed at Laclede Steel in
9Alton for several years; he was also the owner and operator of
10the Red Baron Restaurant in Bethalto for 8 years and a salesman
11for Sears at Jamestown Mall in St. Louis for 10 years until his
12retirement in 2006; and
13 WHEREAS, Samuel Nasello was preceded in death by his
14brothers, Tony, Joe, and Pete Nasello, and his great-grandson,
15Noah Timmins; and
16 WHEREAS, Samuel Nasello is survived by his wife, Millie;
17his daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Lorin Smith, Carla
18and Jimmy Guthrie, and Sami and Jon Brenner; his grandchildren,
19Lorin and Jill Smith, Jeni and Josh Timmins, Kati and Kyle
20Crawford, James Guthrie, Jr., Evan Smith, Rhett Smith, Emma
21Guthrie, Avery Brenner, and Dominic Brenner; his

1great-grandchildren, Mallory Smith, Cody Smith, Timmy Smith,
2Emmy Smith, Graci Crawford, Abbi Crawford, Owen Timmins, and
3Elliott Timmins; his brothers, Charles and Carol Nasello; and
4his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Samuel Carl Nasello;
8and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Samuel Nasello as an expression of
11our sympathy.
