| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Donald R. "Don" Smith of Harrisburg, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on March 7, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, He was born on April 10, 1941, in Muddy; he was | ||||||
| 6 | the son of John William and Edith (Dardeen) Smith; he married | ||||||
| 7 | Phyllis Kay Millspaugh on May 10, 1962; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, He was a retired coal miner who worked at Eagle | ||||||
| 9 | One and at the Keensburg Coal Mine; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion | ||||||
| 11 | of the Equality McLain-Glover Post No. 595; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his | ||||||
| 13 | brother, William E. Smith; his nephew, Terry Dean Wise; and his | ||||||
| 14 | beloved dog, Maggie; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Donald Smith is survived by his wife, Kay Smith; | ||||||
| 16 | his daughters, Teresa Collins and Ida (Brad) Evans; his sister, | ||||||
| 17 | Donna Kay Wise; his grandchildren, Cory Ray Collins and Hanna | ||||||
| 18 | Kay Evans; his great-grandchild, Nathan Andrew Collins; and his | ||||||
| 19 | nephews, Johnny (Kera) Wise, Billy Joe Wise, Ronnie Eugene | ||||||
| 20 | Smith, and Jason Smith; therefore, be it

| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 3 | his family and friends, the passing of Donald Smith; and be it | ||||||
