| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of James W. "Jim" Dee of Bloomington, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 22, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Jim Dee was born in Bloomington to James G. and | ||||||
| 6 | Pearl M. Hines Dee Sr. on April 22, 1929; he graduated from | ||||||
| 7 | Trinity High School in 1947; he attended Purdue University; he | ||||||
| 8 | served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Jim Dee was a lifelong farmer; he retired in 2004 | ||||||
| 11 | at the age of 75; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Jim Dee was a member of the Knights of Columbus | ||||||
| 13 | Council 574, Bloomington and the McLean County Farm Bureau; he | ||||||
| 14 | was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Merna, where he | ||||||
| 15 | served on the finance committee; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Jim Dee was preceded in death by his parents and | ||||||
| 17 | his brother-in-law, Allan C. King; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Jim Dee is survived by his sister, Rosemary King; | ||||||
| 19 | his nieces, Mary (Morrie) Sweeney and Ann (Gene) Harvey; his | ||||||
| 20 | nephews, Bob (Vicki) King, Dave (Julie) King, John (Domine) | ||||||

| 1 | King, and Steve (Laurel) King; his 17 great-nieces and | ||||||
| 2 | great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and | ||||||
| 3 | great-great-nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | James W. "Jim" Dee and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further

| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Jim Dee as an expression of our | ||||||
