| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Robert Earl Johnson of Chicago, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on May 23, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson was born in Lineville, Alabama on | ||||||
| 6 | October 27, 1942 to Wiley General Lee Johnson, Sr. and Willie | ||||||
| 7 | Mae Miles; he attended elementary school in Lineville and then | ||||||
| 8 | completed his elementary education at Tennyson Elementary | ||||||
| 9 | School in Chicago; he attended John Marshall High School and | ||||||
| 10 | married Barbara Jean Bussie on October 10, 1964; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson worked for Heinemann's Bakery, the | ||||||
| 12 | Inland Steel Company, and the Archer, Daniel, Midland Milling | ||||||
| 13 | company, retiring after 31 years of service; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents; his mother-in-law, Gloria Demons; his grandson, | ||||||
| 16 | DeMarco Arnez Powell; his siblings, Wiley Johnson, Jr., George | ||||||
| 17 | Johnson, and Cozetia Johnson; his brother-in-law, Byron Eugene | ||||||
| 18 | Demons, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson is survived by his wife of over 50 | ||||||
| 20 | years, Barbara; his daughter, Patricia Ann "Trish Ann" | ||||||
| 21 | (Michael) Powell; his 2 granddaughters, Michalah Jeane Patrice | ||||||

| 1 | Powell and Brittany Coulter; his 5 great-grandchildren, | ||||||
| 2 | Travon, Anthony, Deziaah, Destinee, and Amari; his siblings, | ||||||

| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
