| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Bette B. Novak of Arlington Heights, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on June 10, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Bette Novak was born on April 23, 1927, in Chicago | ||||||
| 6 | to Joseph and Marie (nee Simon) Burger; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Bette Novak worked as a substitute teacher for the | ||||||
| 8 | Chicago Public Schools; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Bette Novak was a member of Our Lady of the | ||||||
| 10 | Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights; she loved to | ||||||
| 11 | spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Bette Novak was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
| 13 | and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Bette Novak is survived by her husband of 66 | ||||||
| 15 | years, Daniel; her children, Mark D. (Patty) Novak, Katie | ||||||
| 16 | (Steve) Lescohier, Mike J. (Alice) Novak, Eric "Rick" W. | ||||||
| 17 | (Susanne) Novak, and Dan (Carol) Novak; her grandchildren, | ||||||
| 18 | Emily, Mark, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, Michael, Erik, Sarah, | ||||||
| 19 | Karl, Jimmy, John, and Haley; her great-grandson, Samuel; and | ||||||
| 20 | her sister, Lucille Moore; therefore, be it

| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||

| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
