SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Timothy D. Spaulding of Alton, who passed
away on March 13, 2012; and
WHEREAS, He was born in Alton on November 11, 1953, the son
of the late Jack and Mary (McGill) Spaulding; he had been going
to Lakes Wales, Florida as a winter resident for several years;
and
WHEREAS, He was a retired Fire Chief for the city of Alton
and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the United States
Navy; he was an avid fisherman and hunter; he enjoyed traveling
and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his
brother, Tom Spaulding; and
WHEREAS, Timothy Spaulding is survived by his wife, Sandra
C. "Sandi" Spaulding; his daughter, Krista "Nikki" Ludwig
(Dan); his sons, Christopher "Chris" Spaulding, Timothy
"Timmy" Spaulding II (Christine Muntz), and Matthew "Matt"
Spaulding; his sisters, Carol Straub (Lynn) and Elizabeth
Walker (David); his brother, James "Jim" Spaulding (Mary); his

grandchildren, Katelyn Ludwig, Rylie Ludwig, and Tessa Muntz;
and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
his family and friends, the passing of Timothy Spaulding; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Timothy Spaulding as a symbol of our
sincere sympathy.
