2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert A. Gagnon of Antioch, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 11, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon was born on April 7, 1943 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; his parents were Emmanuel and Evelyn (nee | ||||||
7 | Filaitreault) Gagnon; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon served as a Permanent Deacon at St. | ||||||
9 | Peter Church in Antioch for over 2 decades; he served the | ||||||
10 | church as a Deacon, a member of the Clown Club, the founder of | ||||||
11 | the Active Adult of Tomorrow Teen Club, a teacher of | ||||||
12 | Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and Pre-Cana classes, and a | ||||||
13 | member of the Marriage Encounter program; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon was a member of the Knights of | ||||||
15 | Columbus Father Henderson Council 3800; he served as a Chaplain | ||||||
16 | for the Antioch Police Department; he was also a member of the | ||||||
17 | St. Peter Church Choir and St. Vincent de Paul, a member and | ||||||
18 | President of the Exchange Club of Antioch, and a member of | ||||||
19 | numerous other volunteer organizations; and

20 | WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon is survived by his wife of nearly 50 | ||||||
21 | years, Faith (nee Clark); his children, Christopher |

2 | (Kimberly) Gagnon; his grandchildren, Maaike, Cameron, Sarah, | ||||||
3 | Ian, Emily, Andrew, Wesley, Hunter, Nicholas, and Ellie; his | ||||||
4 | siblings, William (Debra) Gagnon and Marie (William) Bateman; | ||||||
5 | and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; | ||||||
6 | therefore, be it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
9 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert A. Gagnon; and | ||||||
10 | be it further

11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Robert Gagnon as an expression of | ||||||
