2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of William "Dennis" Icenogle of | ||||||
4 | Blandinsville, who passed away on November 19, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dennis Icenogle was born to William E. and Wilma | ||||||
6 | Jean Bauser Icenogle in Spring Valley on May 20, 1944, and he | ||||||
7 | served as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army during the | ||||||
8 | Vietnam War from 1964 to 1967; he received the Purple Heart, | ||||||
9 | the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign | ||||||
10 | Medal, the Combat Medical Badge, and the Marksman Medal; he | ||||||
11 | married Mary Kathryn Coakley in Blandinsville on April 5, | ||||||
12 | 1969; he began living in Blandinsville in 1981; and

13 | WHEREAS, Dennis Icenogle worked as a truck driver; he also | ||||||
14 | worked as a police officer in Blandinsville and Warsaw for | ||||||
15 | several years; and

16 | WHEREAS, Dennis Icenogle was a member of the American | ||||||
17 | Legion; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Dennis Icenogle was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; his son, Douglas Edward Icenogle; and his brother, | ||||||
20 | Gary Lynn Icenogle; and

1 | WHEREAS, Dennis Icenogle is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
2 | children, Cheryl Ann Campbell, Wendell Eugene (Michelle | ||||||
3 | Nicole) Icenogle, Robin Denise (Richard) Shinall, and William | ||||||
4 | Eric (Sheila) Icenogle; 13 grandchildren; nine | ||||||
5 | great-grandchildren; his brother, Eldon Icenogle; and his | ||||||
6 | sisters, Debra Bordenkircher, Barbara Bailey, and Shelly | ||||||
7 | (Hank) Petrey; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
