| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
William A. Crossen III of Joliet, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 19, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III was born on July 24, 1945, in | ||||||
| 6 | Joliet; he was a lifelong resident of Joliet; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III graduated from Joliet | ||||||
| 8 | Catholic High School in 1963; he received his bachelor's degree | ||||||
| 9 | from Lewis University in 1968 and his M.B.A. from DePaul | ||||||
| 10 | University; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III was a part-owner and was | ||||||
| 12 | employed by R.S. Blunt and Company from 1963 until his passing; | ||||||
| 13 | he was also formerly employed by St. Joseph Catholic Grade | ||||||
| 14 | School in Joliet as a teacher and principal; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III was a member of the Cathedral | ||||||
| 16 | of St. Raymond Nonnatus, where he was a past board member; he | ||||||
| 17 | was also a past member of the Joliet Catholic High School | ||||||
| 18 | Advisory Board and the Parent Board of Joliet Catholic Academy; | ||||||
| 19 | and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III was a part of the Thursday | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | meeting group of his grade school and high school peers; he was | ||||||
| 2 | very active with Tuesday Night basketball at First Presbyterian | ||||||
| 3 | Church and his weekend golf group; he was also an avid sports | ||||||
| 4 | enthusiast, a golfer, and a Chicago Bears season ticket holder; | ||||||
| 5 | and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 7 | father, William A. Crossen II, and father and mother-in-law, | ||||||
| 8 | Dominic T. and Dorothy (Pappas) Paone; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, William Crossen III is survived by his loving wife | ||||||
| 10 | of 40 years, Donna (Paone) Crossen; his son, William Crossen | ||||||
| 11 | IV; his mother, Audrey (Lindberg) Crossen; his siblings, John | ||||||
| 12 | Crossen, Joanne (Michael) Hayes, and Jane (Damon) Rinard; and | ||||||
| 13 | his very special sister, Mary Crossen; he was the | ||||||
| 14 | brother-in-law of Dominic Paone and Diane (Bob) Remley; the | ||||||
| 15 | dear uncle of John "Jack" (Jane) Crossen, Jennifer (Rob) Garza, | ||||||
| 16 | Jeff Hayes, Michael (Carleen) Paone, and Brian Paone; and the | ||||||
| 17 | great uncle of Skylar and Callie Garza and Brandon Michael | ||||||
| 18 | Paone; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 21 | his family and friends, the passing of William A. Crossen III; | ||||||
| 22 | and be it further

| 1 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 2 | presented to the family of William Crossen III as an expression | ||||||
| 3 | of our sympathy.
