| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Thomas Charles Roser, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | September 25, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was born on April 15, 1936 in | ||||||
| 6 | Libertyville; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser served his country as a member of the | ||||||
| 8 | United States Army from 1959 to 1965; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was employed as a civil servant for | ||||||
| 10 | many years until his retirement in 1994 as chief of the Plans | ||||||
| 11 | Division for the Department of Defense; he also served on the | ||||||
| 12 | Waukegan Special Police Force for 10 years; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was an avid Harley Davidson | ||||||
| 14 | enthusiast for many years; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
| 16 | Julia (Schmidt) and William Thomas Roser, and his brothers, | ||||||
| 17 | William J. Roser and Jacob Brefeld; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Thomas Roser is survived by his loving wife, Mary | ||||||
| 19 | Jo (Stripe) Roser; his children, Michelle (Greg) Major, Pamela | ||||||

| 1 | (David) King, Gail (John) Frew, and Brad Roser; his | ||||||
| 2 | grandchildren, Alyssa and Joshua King, McKenna and Reese Major, | ||||||
| 3 | and Stephanie and Bailey Frew; his sister, Betty Gamble; and | ||||||
| 4 | his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Charles Roser; | ||||||
| 8 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Thomas Roser as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | sympathy.
