2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Susan Ann (Nichols) Lindberg, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 74; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was a creative genius who acted, | ||||||
6 | directed, choreographed, danced, and wrote professionally; she | ||||||
7 | was a founding member of the community theater group Oak Park | ||||||
8 | Musical Theatre (OPMT); and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was dedicated to Oak Park School | ||||||
10 | District 97, and she developed and oversaw the Integrated Arts | ||||||
11 | Program at Emerson/Brooks Middle School; she also directed the | ||||||
12 | Children's Theatre for Village Players; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg spent her post-retirement years | ||||||
14 | giving tours at Ernest Hemingway's birthplace; her final | ||||||
15 | acting roles were as Emma Goldman and Grace Hall Hemingway; | ||||||
16 | and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was an aficionado of Cary Grant | ||||||
18 | movies; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Susan Lindberg was preceded in death by her | ||||||
20 | parents, Robert and Rosetta Nichols; her siblings, Robert E. |

1 | Nichols Jr. and Gail Esposito; and her husband, Roger | ||||||
2 | Lindberg; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Susan Lindberg was | ||||||
4 | survived by her children, Eric Lindberg and Kate | ||||||
5 | Lindberg-Vazquez (Myrna Vazquez), and her grandson, Matheos; | ||||||
6 | therefore, be it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
9 | Susan Ann (Nichols) Lindberg and extend our sincere | ||||||
10 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
11 | her; and be it further

12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Susan Lindberg as an expression of | ||||||
14 | our deepest sympathy.
