2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to | ||||||
3 | congratulate Christine Myers on the occasion of her retirement | ||||||
4 | as executive director of the Livingston County Mental Health | ||||||
5 | and Disabilities Boards; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Christine Myers' dedication to improving the | ||||||
7 | lives of others began with her early work in the Birth to Three | ||||||
8 | Early Intervention Program, followed by serving as an activity | ||||||
9 | director, case manager, and Special Olympics coach for a | ||||||
10 | Center for Developmental Disability Services; she then worked | ||||||
11 | as an independent service coordinator for 13 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Christine Myers has served as executive director | ||||||
13 | of the Livingston County Mental Health and Disabilities Boards | ||||||
14 | since 2015, providing leadership in advancing behavioral | ||||||
15 | health in Livingston County through this position and as an | ||||||
16 | active member of the Association of Community Mental Health | ||||||
17 | Authorities of Illinois (ACMHAI); and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Christine Myers has brought her expertise and | ||||||
19 | passion for helping others to the membership of ACMHAI, where | ||||||
20 | she has been an ongoing contributor, strong advocate, and | ||||||
21 | skilled spokesperson on intellectual and developmental | ||||||
22 | disabilities and behavioral health issues, serving as the |

1 | chair of the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Committee | ||||||
2 | since 2022; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, While serving on the ACMHAI Legislative | ||||||
4 | Committee, Christine Myers has demonstrated a keen awareness | ||||||
5 | of the legislative process and has consistently advanced | ||||||
6 | community-based behavioral health and system issues within | ||||||
7 | Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Services in Illinois; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Christine Myers has served on the Executive | ||||||
10 | Council of the Illinois Public Health Association, | ||||||
11 | representing the interests of community mental health and | ||||||
12 | developmental disabilities boards to the public health | ||||||
13 | community; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Christine Myers serves as director of the | ||||||
15 | Livingston County Commission on Children and Youth, treasurer | ||||||
16 | of the Livingston County Homeless Coalition, and as a member | ||||||
17 | of the OSF Livingston Community Health Needs Assessment Team; | ||||||
18 | therefore, be it
