2 | WHEREAS, State Senator Iris Y. Martinez and the members of | ||||||
3 | the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of
| ||||||
4 | Graciela J. Juarez of Springfield, who passed away on December | ||||||
5 | 2, 2009; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was born on October 1, 1931, in | ||||||
7 | Lima, Peru; she was the daughter of Alberto and Angelica | ||||||
8 | Espinoza Alzamora; she married Oswaldo Juarez in 1946; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was employed in the Peruvian | ||||||
10 | public school district for 36 years; after retirement, she and | ||||||
11 | her husband came to the United States to be near her family; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was a member of the Central | ||||||
14 | Illinois Chapter of National Image Inc. and the St. Katherine | ||||||
15 | Drexel Parish in Springfield; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was preceded in death by her | ||||||
17 | husband, Oswaldo; her son, Nicolas; her daughter, Maria Juarez; | ||||||
18 | her brothers, Luis, Rafael, and Cesar; and her parents; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez is survived by her sons, Victor | ||||||
20 | (wife, Daisy) Juarez, Daniel (wife, Suzanne Brown) Juarez, and |

2 | and Clara Juarez; her 13 grandchildren and 10 | ||||||

7 | and her many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
10 | her family and friends, the passing of Graciela J. Juarez; and | ||||||
11 | be it further

12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Graciela Juarez as an expression of | ||||||
14 | our sympathy.
