SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Beverley Gumbs-Crawley of Wheeling,
who passed away on December 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley was born on May 21, 1964;
she graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands with a
Bachelor of Arts in English in 1990; and
WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley most recently worked as an
account manager, serving the health, wellness, and fitness
industry; she had also served with a variety of businesses in
client services, as a customer services consultant and media
analyst, and as a public relations manager; and
WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley was the beloved wife of 34
years of Michael Crawley; the loving mother of Asher (Dylan)
Saks-Crawley and Aidra "Haven" Crawley (Josh Graff); the fond
sister of Clifford (Charlene), LeRoy (Beverly), Hillary
(Rawle), Hermoine (Melford), Randoline, Leona (Edmond), Mavis
(Everton "Percil"), Sonia (Arnold), Merclyn "Dolly", and
Yvette; and aunt, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

Beverley Gumbs-Crawley and extend our sincere condolences to
her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Beverley Gumbs-Crawley as a symbol
of our deepest sympathy.
