| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William J. Aery of Godfrey, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on April 30, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, William Aery was born in Lincoln to Theodore | ||||||
| 6 | Forrest and Alberta (Reynolds) Aery on January 30, 1931; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Charlene Gammaitoni in Alton on December 28, 1972; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, William Aery retired as Vice President of the | ||||||
| 9 | Northern Division of the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company; he always | ||||||
| 10 | enjoyed collecting Pepsi memorabilia; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, William Aery served on the Madison County Board; | ||||||
| 12 | he also served as the Madison County Treasurer; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, William Aery was a member of Saint Ambrose Parish | ||||||
| 14 | in Godfrey and the Godfrey Lions Club; he and his wife enjoyed | ||||||
| 15 | traveling in their recreational vehicle and spending winters in | ||||||
| 16 | Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, William Aery was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 18 | his son, Michael J. Aery; and his siblings, Norman Aery, | ||||||
| 19 | Raymond Aery, Ronald Reynolds, Phillip Leonard Aery, and | ||||||
| 20 | Gertrude "Trudy" Aery; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, William Aery is survived by his wife, Charlene; | ||||||
| 2 | his children, Mark Aery, Gail (Alan) Hill, and Neil (Pam) Aery; | ||||||
| 3 | his grandchildren, Justin Dean Hill, Justin Ian Acker, Matthew | ||||||
| 4 | Ryan Hill, and Maggie, Cassidy, and Sophia Aery; and his | ||||||
| 5 | great-granddaughter, Callie Marie Acker; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 8 | William J. Aery, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 10 | further

| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
