SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol Ann Zirkelbach of Benld, who passed
4away on June 9, 2019; and
5 WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was born in Alton to Leo Lawton
6and Margaret (Ahrling) Spann on October 17, 1937; and
7 WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach worked in personal insurance as
8an insurance producer for over 30 years; and
9 WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was a member of the Litchfield
10Presbyterian Women, the Altar Society of Wilsonville, and a
11former member and past president of the PTA; and
12 WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was preceded in death by her
13parents; her brother, Russell Spann; and her brother-in-law,
14William Schuette; and
15 WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach is survived by her daughters,
16Kimberly J. (Jack) Burns, Tracy (Bret) Werner, and Joan (Brent)
17Cain; her sons, Robert (Sandee) Zirkelbach, Dennis (Julie)
18Zirkelbach, James (Bonnie) Zirkelbach, and Mark (Sandy)
19Zirkelbach; her sister, Joan Schuette; her 13 grandchildren;
20her 19 great-grandchildren; her niece, Christine Marcuzzo; her

1nephew, Mike (Diane) Schuette; her many great-nieces and
2great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Sammy; therefore, be it
3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Carol Ann Zirkelbach and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Carol Zirkelbach as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
