SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Carol Ann Zirkelbach of Benld, who passed
away on June 9, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was born in Alton to Leo Lawton
and Margaret (Ahrling) Spann on October 17, 1937; and
WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach worked in personal insurance as
an insurance producer for over 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was a member of the Litchfield
Presbyterian Women, the Altar Society of Wilsonville, and a
former member and past president of the PTA; and
WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach was preceded in death by her
parents; her brother, Russell Spann; and her brother-in-law,
William Schuette; and
WHEREAS, Carol Zirkelbach is survived by her daughters,
Kimberly J. (Jack) Burns, Tracy (Bret) Werner, and Joan (Brent)
Cain; her sons, Robert (Sandee) Zirkelbach, Dennis (Julie)
Zirkelbach, James (Bonnie) Zirkelbach, and Mark (Sandy)
Zirkelbach; her sister, Joan Schuette; her 13 grandchildren;
her 19 great-grandchildren; her niece, Christine Marcuzzo; her

nephew, Mike (Diane) Schuette; her many great-nieces and
great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Sammy; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Carol Ann Zirkelbach and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Carol Zirkelbach as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
