| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Robert L. Horton, formerly of Rock | ||||||
| 4 | Island, who passed away on August 24, 2021; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Robert Horton was born to Otto and Marie | ||||||
| 6 | (Schmidt) Horton on April 9, 1933; he married Linda Thomas on | ||||||
| 7 | November 15, 1956; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Robert Horton was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 9 | parents; his wife, Linda; his son, Harold; his granddaughter, | ||||||
| 10 | Christina Horton Brunat; his brothers, Delbert Horton Sr. and | ||||||
| 11 | Otto Horton II; and his sisters, Rozetta Barton, Shirley | ||||||
| 12 | Whited, and Jean Rosenbaum; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Robert Horton is survived by his daughter-in-law, | ||||||
| 14 | Melanie Horton; his grandson, Robert Horton II; his six | ||||||
| 15 | great-grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Fitzpatrick; and his | ||||||
| 16 | many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 19 | Robert L. Horton and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 20 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
