| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Stephen J. Safraniec of McHenry, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on April 20, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Stephen Safraniec was born on June 13, 1929 in | ||||||
| 6 | Chicago; his parents were Joseph and Catharine (nee Szydlowski) | ||||||
| 7 | Szafraniec; he married Helen Sophie Potempa on June 13, 1959 in | ||||||
| 8 | Chicago; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Stephen Safraniec was a carpenter for over 50 | ||||||
| 10 | years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Stephen Safraniec enjoyed his work as a carpenter, | ||||||
| 12 | boating, family picnics at his home, and vacationing in | ||||||
| 13 | Acapulco, Mexico; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Stephen Safraniec was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents; his sister, Estelle Pretkie; his brothers, Mack and | ||||||
| 16 | Bill Safraniec; and 24 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Stephen Safraniec is survived by his wife, Helen; | ||||||
| 18 | his sons, Michael (Jennifer) and Bruce Safraniec; his | ||||||
| 19 | grandchildren, Noah, Madisen, Melany, and Andrew Safraniec; | ||||||
| 20 | his sister, Janet Benson; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pach and | ||||||

| 1 | Jean Potempa; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 4 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Stephen J. Safraniec; | ||||||
| 5 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Stephen Safraniec as an expression | ||||||
| 8 | of our sympathy.
