2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Franklin G. "Frank" Scalf of Silvis, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 22, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frank Scalf was born in Kirkwood to Gilbert and | ||||||
6 | Mary Vera (Davis) Scalf on February 19, 1939; he served in the | ||||||
7 | U.S. Air Force and married Donna Norman in East Moline on | ||||||
8 | August 5, 1978; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Frank Scalf retired from John Deere Harvester in | ||||||
10 | 1994 after 30 years of service; he owned and operated Scalf | ||||||
11 | Contracting, retiring in 2006; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Frank Scalf was a member of Edgewood Baptist | ||||||
13 | Church and a former member of the Deere Bowling League and the | ||||||
14 | Deere Golf League; he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and wintering | ||||||
15 | in Florida; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Frank Scalf was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
17 | his sister, JoAnn Scalf; his brothers, Sam Scalf and Rolland | ||||||
18 | Scalf; and his sister-in-law, Doris Scalf; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Frank Scalf is survived by his wife, Donna; his | ||||||
20 | children, Alan Scalf, Angela (Dale) Owen, and Kert (Dawn) |

6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Franklin G. "Frank" Scalf and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
