2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Rudolph Joseph Padilla of North Chicago, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on July 24, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla was born on September 1, 1929 in | ||||||
6 | Libertyville; his parents were Manuel and Elodia (nee Mejia) | ||||||
7 | Padilla; he married Alicia Anguiano on July 13, 1957 at St. | ||||||
8 | Joseph Catholic Church in Waukegan; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla graduated from Waukegan Township | ||||||
10 | High School; he subsequently earned his Bachelor of Arts from | ||||||
11 | Mexico City College and his Master of Arts from Roosevelt | ||||||
12 | University; he also attended Carthage College to attain his | ||||||
13 | special education certification; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla served as a member of the United | ||||||
15 | States Armed Forces in Greenland during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla retired from the Waukegan Public | ||||||
17 | School system in 1994 after 26 years of service; he later | ||||||
18 | retired from the College of Lake County in 2008 after 17 years | ||||||
19 | of service; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla was preceded in death by his |

1 | parents and his son-in-law, Aroldo Ramos; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Padilla is survived by his former wife, | ||||||
3 | Alicia Padilla; his daughters, Martha Padilla-Ramos, Margaret | ||||||
4 | (Tomas) Carrasco, and Nancy (Joseph) Sgarbossa; his | ||||||
5 | granddaughters, Angelina Ramos and Lysett Carrasco; his | ||||||
6 | brothers, Joseph Padilla and Edward Padilla; his sisters, | ||||||
7 | Delores (Martin) Perez and Lena (Frank) Calderon; and his many | ||||||
8 | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
11 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Rudolph Joseph | ||||||
12 | Padilla; and be it further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Rudolph Padilla as an expression of | ||||||
15 | our sympathy.
