SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond H. Stanger, formerly of
4Woodstock, who passed away on April 19, 2015; and
5 WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was born in Woodstock on November
611, 1924 to William and Emma (nee Backus) Stanger; he served in
7the United States Navy during World War II, where he was
8stationed on PT Boats; he married Lucille L. Pierce and
9together they celebrated over 63 years of marriage; and
10 WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger worked for the Woodstock Die Cast
11Company for over 38 years before retirement; and
12 WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger loved golf and was a lifetime
13member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge; and
14 WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was preceded in death by his
15parents; his wife, Lucille; and his brothers, William Stanger,
16Elmer Stanger, Edward Stanger, Norman Stanger, and Donald
17Stanger; and
18 WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger is survived by his children, Linda
19(Morry) Thorson and James (Teri) Stanger; his grandchildren,
20Bill Thorson, Cheryl (Rob) Kischuk, Derick Stanger, Raymond

1Jimmy Stanger, and Theresa Maylei Stanger; and his
2great-grandchildren, Kaylee Joy, Caroline Grace, and Nathan
3Bennett Kischuk; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Raymond H. Stanger, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Raymond Stanger as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
