| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Raymond H. Stanger, formerly of | ||||||
| 4 | Woodstock, who passed away on April 19, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was born in Woodstock on November | ||||||
| 6 | 11, 1924 to William and Emma (nee Backus) Stanger; he served in | ||||||
| 7 | the United States Navy during World War II, where he was | ||||||
| 8 | stationed on PT Boats; he married Lucille L. Pierce and | ||||||
| 9 | together they celebrated over 63 years of marriage; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger worked for the Woodstock Die Cast | ||||||
| 11 | Company for over 38 years before retirement; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger loved golf and was a lifetime | ||||||
| 13 | member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents; his wife, Lucille; and his brothers, William Stanger, | ||||||
| 16 | Elmer Stanger, Edward Stanger, Norman Stanger, and Donald | ||||||
| 17 | Stanger; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger is survived by his children, Linda | ||||||
| 19 | (Morry) Thorson and James (Teri) Stanger; his grandchildren, | ||||||
| 20 | Bill Thorson, Cheryl (Rob) Kischuk, Derick Stanger, Raymond | ||||||

| 1 | Jimmy Stanger, and Theresa Maylei Stanger; and his | ||||||
| 2 | great-grandchildren, Kaylee Joy, Caroline Grace, and Nathan | ||||||
| 3 | Bennett Kischuk; therefore, be it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Raymond H. Stanger, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
