SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Raymond H. Stanger, formerly of
Woodstock, who passed away on April 19, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was born in Woodstock on November
11, 1924 to William and Emma (nee Backus) Stanger; he served in
the United States Navy during World War II, where he was
stationed on PT Boats; he married Lucille L. Pierce and
together they celebrated over 63 years of marriage; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger worked for the Woodstock Die Cast
Company for over 38 years before retirement; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger loved golf and was a lifetime
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Lucille; and his brothers, William Stanger,
Elmer Stanger, Edward Stanger, Norman Stanger, and Donald
Stanger; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Stanger is survived by his children, Linda
(Morry) Thorson and James (Teri) Stanger; his grandchildren,
Bill Thorson, Cheryl (Rob) Kischuk, Derick Stanger, Raymond

Jimmy Stanger, and Theresa Maylei Stanger; and his
great-grandchildren, Kaylee Joy, Caroline Grace, and Nathan
Bennett Kischuk; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Raymond H. Stanger, and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Raymond Stanger as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
