| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Kenneth W. Larsen, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | April 19, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was born on January 17, 1937 in | ||||||
| 6 | Waukegan; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen served his country as a member of | ||||||
| 8 | the United States Army Reserve; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen attended the Illinois Institute of | ||||||
| 10 | Technology; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was the owner and operator of | ||||||
| 12 | Larsen Marine Service, working side by side with 4 generations | ||||||
| 13 | of family for over 50 years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was a member of the First United | ||||||
| 15 | Methodist Church; he was also a lifetime member and past | ||||||
| 16 | commodore of the Waukegan Yacht Club and served as Waukegan | ||||||
| 17 | Harbor Master for 25 years; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was an avid traveler and boater; he | ||||||
| 19 | also enjoyed his winters in Florida with his family and | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | friends; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was preceded in death by his wife | ||||||
| 3 | of 50 years, Gail; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen is survived by a son, Douglas (Lori | ||||||
| 5 | Ann) Larsen; 2 daughters, Kathy (Tom) Sivia and Lori (Sam) | ||||||
| 6 | Grabarski; 6 grandchildren, Danielle (Nate) Daley, Kristina | ||||||
| 7 | (David) Tisdale, William and Erin Sivia, and Katelyn and Sam | ||||||
| 8 | Grabarski; 3 great-grandchildren, Leland and Heart Tisdale and | ||||||
| 9 | Lux Daley; a brother, Jerry Larsen; and many nieces and | ||||||
| 10 | nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 13 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth W. Larsen; and | ||||||
| 14 | be it further
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to the family of Kenneth Larsen as an expression of | ||||||
| 17 | our sympathy.
