| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert L. Henke of Edwardsville, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 11, 2011; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was born February 21, 1949, in Granite City, | ||||||
6 | and was the son of the late Stephen M. and Esther (Cell) Henke; | ||||||
7 | he married Ethel N. Zeller on June 18, 1970; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving | ||||||
9 | from 1967 to 1971; he retired as a captain with the Madison | ||||||
10 | County Sheriff's Department where he worked for 33 years; upon | ||||||
11 | his retirement, he went to work for the Illinois Department of | ||||||
12 | Corrections as a parole supervisor; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in | ||||||
14 | Edwardsville; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS,
Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald | ||||||
16 | Henke; and a sister, Barbara Henke; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Robert Henke is survived by his wife, Ethel; his | ||||||
18 | son, Brian Henke and his wife, Tara, and his daughter, Lisa | ||||||
19 | Henke; his grandchildren, Lucas Henke and Reese Mersinger; and | ||||||
20 | his brother, Stephen Michael Henke and wife, Carol; therefore, |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
4 | his family and friends, the passing of Robert Henke; and be it | ||||||
5 | further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Robert Henke as a symbol of our | ||||||
8 | sincere sympathy.
