| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Pamela Jean Christian of North Chicago, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on March 5, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was born in Waukegan to Horace | ||||||
| 6 | and Rachel (Woods) Montgomery Jr. on October 3, 1949; she | ||||||
| 7 | majored in nursing at Northern Michigan University and married | ||||||
| 8 | Dorsey Christian Jr. in North Chicago on September 15, 1973; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was a registered nurse for 45 | ||||||
| 11 | years; she was
formerly employed at St. Therese Medical Center | ||||||
| 12 | and the VA Hospital; she retired from Advocate Condell | ||||||
| 13 | Hospital; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was a member of Way Through The | ||||||
| 15 | Word Ministry Church, where she was part of the women's | ||||||
| 16 | ministry and the set-up committee;
she enjoyed traveling, | ||||||
| 17 | eating at various restaurants, baking, and spending time with | ||||||
| 18 | her family, especially her grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 20 | parents and her brother, Horace "Corkey" Montgomery; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Pamela Christian is survived by her husband of 43 | ||||||
| 2 | years, Dorsey Christian Jr.; her son, Dorsey (Niki) Christian | ||||||
| 3 | III; her grandchildren, Jaymina Handy, Acquennetta F. Abrams, | ||||||
| 4 | and Dorsey Christian IV; one great-grandchild, Jonessa Foster; | ||||||
| 5 | her siblings, Geetanjali Singh, Michelle (Dean) McGee, Robert | ||||||
| 6 | (Chris) Montgomery, and David Montgomery; and many nieces and | ||||||
| 7 | nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Pamela Jean Christian, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 11 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further

| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
