| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Neal C. Johnson, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | June 16, 2021; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved his job in public relations, | ||||||
| 6 | and he helped those in need by volunteering; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson was a Master Mason and a member of | ||||||
| 8 | the Moose Lodge; he served on numerous boards, most notably | ||||||
| 9 | St. Jude; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson was affectionately known as "Papa" | ||||||
| 11 | and "Pop-Pop"; he was a gifted communicator; he was strong and | ||||||
| 12 | compassionate and had a heart filled with love; he was an | ||||||
| 13 | amazing father and grandfather; his support was limitless, and | ||||||
| 14 | he passed many of his wonderful attributes to his children; | ||||||
| 15 | and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved golf, dancing with his wife, | ||||||
| 17 | and playing with his grandchildren; he was a jokester and | ||||||
| 18 | could have an entire room laughing; he was a talented musician | ||||||
| 19 | and played many instruments throughout his life; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved his brothers, Gary, Dan, and | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Bill; he would frequently have breakfast with them and enjoyed | ||||||
| 2 | this immensely; he loved their wives and children as well; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Neal Johnson is survived by his wife, Lynne; his | ||||||
| 4 | children, John (Marisol) Johnson, Christopher (Victoria) | ||||||
| 5 | Johnson, Dawn (Jordan) Tanner, and Sarah (Nemanja) Stanojevic; | ||||||
| 6 | and his grandchildren, Silas Tanner and Solana Johnson; | ||||||
| 7 | therefore, be it

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Neal C. Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of Neal Johnson as an expression of our | ||||||
| 15 | deepest sympathy.
