| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Violet C. Dicig of Waukegan, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on May 31, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Violet Dicig was born on May 31, 1916, in | ||||||
| 6 | Waukegan, and was a lifelong resident; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Violet Dicig was an avid crafter and especially | ||||||
| 8 | enjoyed knitting and sewing; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Violet Dicig was a former member of St. Anastasia | ||||||
| 10 | Parish, where she was active in the Sanctuary Society and | ||||||
| 11 | served as Sacristan for 25 years; she was also involved with | ||||||
| 12 | the Holy Child High School Mothers Club; she had been a member | ||||||
| 13 | of St. Dismas Parish for the last 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Violet Dicig was preceded in death by her husband, | ||||||
| 15 | Joseph W. Dicig; her parents, Jacob and Margaret Janis; her 9 | ||||||
| 16 | brothers and sisters; her son-in-law, Robert Sirvidas; and her | ||||||
| 17 | nieces and nephews; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Violet Dicig is survived by her daughters, Nancy | ||||||
| 19 | Dicig (the late Robert) Sirvidas and Judi Dicig; and her many | ||||||
| 20 | nieces and nephews, including a great-great-great-nephew; | ||||||

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 4 | her family and friends, the passing of Violet C. Dicig; and be | ||||||
| 5 | it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Violet Dicig as an expression of our | ||||||
| 8 | sympathy.
